This page offers a rolling analysis of the 2026 monitoring season data. It is a tool to help us understand the relationships of recent weather events and their impact on water quality. Here we chart the nitrate, phosphorus, E.coli, and turbidity levels of our primary rivers along with precipitation and streamflow records for the week leading up to monitoring day.
We also include the current E coli data for the main stem sites on the Great Miami, Whitewater River, Ohio River and Dry Fork Creek.
Learn more about pulse flows, nutrient loading and eutrophication and see how they impact specific sampling sites taken from areas used for recreation, including Heritage Park on the Great Miami, Green Acres Kayak on the Whitewater River, at Lawrenceburg on the Ohio River, and Dry Fork Creek in Miami Whitewater Forest.
